The problem
A strong payments product with no digital front door worth the name. In a trust-sensitive industry the site had to prove legitimacy, explain a nuanced product quickly, and convert cautious business owners into sign-ups.
What I built
I started with the buyers: finance managers, founders, and operations leads at companies making regular international payments. The site was built around what they need to believe before trusting a new platform with their money, and covers home, about, FAQ and contact.
The result
Delivered in two weeks from brief to live. Fully responsive across every breakpoint, with the platform's traction front and centre: 250 million dollars in payment volume, 200 plus customers, 2,000 plus transactions, and a presence across 49 countries.
The client
Flowwave Technologies is a fintech built to make cross-border payments effortless. The platform moves fast, secure, zero-fee payments in dollars, euro and pounds across 49 countries, settling in as little as 24 hours.
In a market full of slow, expensive and opaque international payment providers, they built something different: a zero-fee model with real global reach, integrations with Paystack and Flutterwave among others, and a platform meant for businesses that have to move money reliably across borders.
By the time they came to me they had processed over $250 million in payment volume, served more than 200 business customers and completed over 2,000 transactions. The product was real and the traction was real. What was missing was a website that said so.
The problem
- 01
No website that matched the product
Fintech buyers decide on trust signals, and a generic site triggers doubt in seconds. Flowwave needed something that looked like a platform which had already moved a quarter of a billion dollars.
- 02
A complex product that had to be explained simply
Zero fees, 49 countries, 30 plus currencies, same day settlement, enterprise integrations. Every one of those is a strong selling point, and presenting them all without burying the visitor takes a careful hierarchy and plain copy.
- 03
Established competitors with bigger budgets
Their competitors have large marketing spends and familiar names. The site had to lead with the difference, the zero-fee model, and make it obvious immediately rather than three scrolls down.
- 04
No conversion path at all
Without a structured site, traffic from any source had nowhere to land and nothing to do next. Paid, organic or referral, it all leaked.
What I did
- 01
Discovery and positioning
I started with the buyer: finance managers, business owners and operations leads at companies with regular international payment obligations, and what they need to feel before trusting a new platform with their money. Security, speed, simplicity, and proof that someone went first. That produced the hierarchy for the whole site. Zero fees led. Global reach and speed followed. Security and integration depth supported both.
- 02
Design direction
Modern fintech confidence: clean, precise and forward looking, without the cold sterility that makes so many fintech products feel impersonal. A dark primary palette with vivid accents, reading as premium and technical at the same time.
- 03
Copywriting architecture
For a fintech product the copy matters as much as the design. Every section answers the question the buyer is asking at that point on the page: what is this and why should I care, what exactly does it do, why this over what I already use, and what do I do next. Every sentence was written to remove friction rather than add to it.
- 04
Responsive development
A large share of the audience across those 49 countries reaches the web on a phone first, so mobile performance was a requirement of the build rather than a pass at the end of it.
- 05
Conversion architecture
The page runs as one guided journey. Whatever brought someone in, they are walked through the value, the proof and the features before being handed a clear next step, with the app downloads and the Get Started action repeated at each point where intent tends to form.
Key design decisions
- A hero that leads with the zero-fee proposition and sends visitors straight to the iOS and Android apps
- App interface mockups throughout, so the product feels familiar before sign-up
- Traction as headline figures rather than a line on an about page: 49 countries, $250m volume, 200+ customers, 2,000+ transactions
- A feature breakdown structured around the three buying motivations: cost, reach and speed
- An integration showcase, Paystack and Flutterwave among them, so a business can see it fits the stack they already run
- A trust and security section answering the first objection anyone raises about a new payment provider

Questions about work like this
All questionsCan you really deliver in two weeks?
That one was two weeks from brief to live because the decisions were made quickly and the content was ready. Those are the conditions. When copy, logos or screenshots are still being gathered, the clock effectively pauses.
Do you write the copy for a site like this?
I draft it and you approve it. Every section of that site was written around the question the buyer was asking at that point on the page, which is not something a template gives you.
Can you design for a product that has not launched yet?
Yes. What the page needs is a clear view of who the buyer is and what they have to believe before acting. None of that waits for the product to be finished.
My pricing starts at $ 1,500. See what each tier includes.
