Lagos
A web design company in Lagos run by one designer.
You get the person doing the work, not an account manager relaying messages.
Lagos has no shortage of web design companies. What is scarce is one where the designer answers the phone. Every project here is built by the person you brief, which is why nothing gets lost between the pitch and the build.
The work covers design, search, and paid media. Most clients start with a site and add search work once it is live, because a site nobody finds is an expensive business card.
Prices are published. Payment is half to start, half before launch, in naira.
What the work covers
Three services, run by the same person. Most clients start with the site and add search work once it is live. The prices are published.

The choice
An agency, a freelancer, or one designer
Every option here will quote you for a website. What differs is who does the work, who you speak to when something is wrong, and what you are left holding at the end of it.
| What is being compared | Agency | Freelancer | One designer, all three |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who you brief | An account manager, who relays it. | The person building it. | The person building it. |
| Who builds it | Often a junior, or a subcontractor you never meet. | The same person, within what they can do. | The same person, across design, search and ads. |
| Search and ads | A separate department, and a separate invoice. | Usually not offered, or passed to someone else. | The same hands that built the site. |
| When something breaks | A ticket, and a queue. | Whenever they are free. | A message to the person who wrote the code. |
| What it costs | The overhead of everyone not building your site. | Lower, with the risk concentrated in one person. | Published, so you can check it before you call. |
| The risk | Paying for process instead of work. | Capacity, and gaps outside their one skill. | Capacity. There is a limit to how many projects run at once. |

Due diligence
What to ask before you pay anyone in this market
These are the questions that separate a quote you can trust from one you cannot, whoever you are asking. Every one of them has a correct answer and a worrying one.
- Who will actually build this, and can I speak to them
- Whose name will the domain be registered in
- Whose account will the hosting sit on
- Will I get the logins at launch, or on request
- What happens to the site if we stop working together
- Is the price written down before we start
- What is not included that I will be billed for later
- Can I see a site you built that is still live today

Questions people ask first
All questionsAre you a company or one person?
One designer, working directly with a small number of clients at a time. The person you brief is the person who builds the site, and the work covers website design, search engine optimization and media buying rather than one of the three.
How much does a website cost in Lagos?
The prices are published on the pricing page rather than held back for a call. Payment is half to start and half before launch, by bank transfer in naira.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. The domain is registered in your name, the hosting account is yours, and the logins are handed over at launch. If you stop working with me you keep everything.
Do you work with businesses outside Lagos?
Yes. The work runs across Nigeria and with diaspora businesses, and most of it is done remotely whether the client is on the mainland, the island or abroad.
No obligation
Tell me what you need.
Four questions, and you pick how I come back to you. If what you need is not something I should be doing, I will tell you that instead of quoting for it.
- A reply the same working day
- Prices are published, so nothing is quoted higher because of who asked
- No contract and nothing to pay to get a quote
- What gets built is yours to own and take anywhere
